Dangerous cargoes

Notification of the intention to transport or handle all dangerous goods (DG) cargoes, in the Port of Melbourne must be given to Victorian Ports Corporation (Melbourne) (VPCM) 24 hours before the arrival of cargo in the port area.

Dangerous cargo forms now available from the VPCM website include:

  • Bunker & (non-cargo) liquid transfer authority application
  • Bulk liquid transfer authority application
  • Form 5 – Declaration for pre-loading of Class 1 dangerous goods greater than 25 kg NEQ
  • Dry bulk transfer authority application
  • Hot works authority
